Fabian Schmidt joined us as an intern and is now a project manager. Find out here why the stopover at a large tech corporation did not meet his expectations and why he appreciates us.
“Even as an intern at sonntag, I was able to contribute and work actively in project operations. Assuming responsibility has always been important to me. Which was also the reason, after graduating from college, that I accepted a position at a large technology corporation. I quickly realized that working in a corporation is not my thing and that I missed the pleasant environment and the team at sonntag. Ultimately, I returned as a project manager and am happy that I can enjoy the many pleasant moments, such as the fun lunch breaks with my co-workers or having a beer after work.”
Big city tasks in a small-town atmosphere
Eva Weigel was sick of commuting every day. So, following her job with an established auditing firm, she decided to seek out a challenge which was just as exciting as in the city but outside the city.
“Before I joined sonntag, I worked for an auditing firm in Frankfurt and spent countless hours traveling by train. A one-way trip to my work took nearly one-and-a-half hours. Now, my traveling time has been reduced to 10 minutes.
I always thought that interesting tasks were only available in the big city. But at sonntag, I realized that things work differently. Here, I have big city tasks in a small-town atmosphere. I manage exciting projects on my own and appreciate the contact we have with our clients as well as the lean business structures. The change of employment definitely meant a considerable gain in efficiency for me.”

You grow with your tasks
Patrick Seip shows that the climb from intern to managing director here means plenty of blood, sweat and tears but is not impossible. He tells you why he loves his job so much.
“I actually came to sonntag to give the M&A business a spin within the framework of an internship. The diverse activities and the perspective of assuming responsible tasks motivated me to stay here.
Today, as a managing director, I can say with absolute certainty that the decision I had made was the right one. What I appreciate most is the daily work with successful businesses as well as working together in a team. We are a very well-integrated group with great team spirit, which was particularly strengthened by our recent annual retreat.”
